Week 1

Class 1 - Intro class

Class 2 - pre-instructional exercises

Class 3 - bypass your catalogue, grade 8 - https://www.thearts.studio/bypass-your-catalogue.html

You can skip the gesture drawings and go straight to the upside down drawings. They are one of the best ways to trick your brain into thinking they are not drawing what they actually are! Emphasis on measuring distances and checking angles - those are the secret to drawing more accurately.

First - students draw the horse, the lady with the bird’s nest, and the Picasso drawing — THEN they draw it upside down. It’s nice because most of the time the upside down drawing looks much, much better than the first one.

It should take the students a couple classes to finish these - even three classes. After this awful excruciating drill, they will be ready for a fun project. I love the idea of the book cover design!
